2 days of mini band camp.
1st day of being legit drum major, it was the most exciting day so far yet. I honestly was nervous a bit with commands and leading the stretches and conducting. But overall i gained new ideas and plan for drum majoring. It is a lot more complicated than middle school drum majoring, but on the other hand, its more fun. We will start doing legit practices on 5th of july and band camp in august, and...

Drum Major Try Outs
Everything, I was satisfied except one thing. I let Peaches borrow my music binder so he can make the copy of the scores, then when he put it back, he put it in different orders and it threw me off during my tryouts. But other than that, everything was good and I will now just wait till the banquet !

Getting prepared
Leaving only 1 competition behind, I was excited as well as everyone else. We knew we needed improvements and tons of practices. 2 weeks ago we had Albert leading the Loara Band Review and once again, I will have the chance to lead in La Palma Parade. Getting Started
The first parade we will be marching is @San Dimas. It is the first time that AIS will be joining this festival. Albert and I are taking care of the band along with Mr. Krumbine, but it seems like we are not ready yet. I really need to focus more and teach the band the marching skills. I’m also getting my routine started, i don’t have any fancy ideas right now but soon I will.
New Band, New Leader
1st day of school, wow very excited. I wasn’t as nervous as i thought i was gonna be. Well, I had hard time reading out everyones name for attendance but others were good. I tried to look for mature in front of new band members wishing they would respect me. We only made name cards today but starting from tomorrow we will get started on our march “Project” !
Last Day of Band Camp
I learned that being a leader is a serious thing. It stressed me out, I never knew how hard it was to control around 100 students. Teaching all of them techniques, the music, marching, and more.. First Day of Band Camp
So today was the first day to meet new band members. I was very nervous to stand in front of them but I worked it out. I first introduced myself and we started learning the core. Mr.Krumbine explained about the marching band and I taught them the drills and commands along with Albert. I’m looking at some bright sides :)

Each of us got to have 2 tries to perform in front of the band. i dropped the first time while doing step-off. I thought i was able to catch it without looking at it, but obviously I couldn’t.
